Shared Living for individuals with developmental disabilities who require supportive care and who are unable to live alone. Personal care and supportive services (e.g., homemaker and chore services) provided in a private home by an unrelated, principal care provider who lives in the home and who’s primary, legal residence is that home.
Life within a family unit is what many individuals desire most for their lives. Gone are the days of developmentally disabled individuals living in institutionalized settings. Community activities, employment and family life offer individuals the opportunity to live full lives with many experiences.
We welcome anyone who wants to have a discussion about one of our individuals joining their family. Whether you are a traditional nuclear family, retired couple, single parent....whatever your family looks like, you can invite an individual to join you in sharing your life together. A screening process is required and if you go on to the next step, you will complete a background check and training required by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and then an individual will move in and your shared living experience begins. Contact us and take that first step to an amazing journey.
